2025 was an exceptional year for Grindrod. Despite a challenging operating environment, our teams delivered record performance demonstrating discipline, resilience, and strategic focus.
Our terminals teams broke records in Matola, and Richards Bay and our ships agency, logistics and clearing & forwarding teams continued to provide exceptional service to our customers. The Rail team are working hard to finalise the rail open-access agreement following the 2025 slot allocation.
We achieved our strongest safety results to date, ending the year with an all‑time low LTIFR of 0.16 and, most importantly, zero fatalities. This reflects the commitment and vigilance of every employee living our safety culture (Bhasobha) every day.
With our strategic reset complete, we are now firmly in an execution-led growth phase.
We continue to invest in infrastructure that enhances capacity and unlocks long-term growth, including the Richards Bay container facility, the Maputo capital dredging programme, and the Matola Terminal expansion.
As we look ahead, our focus remains clear: disciplined capital allocation, consistent volume growth, and the delivery of sustainable value for our shareholders and stakeholders.
