Despite the unexpected rain on 23 September, spirits remained high as the festivities were swiftly moved to the car park — proving that nothing can dampen our unity or love for a good braai.
Staff were treated to a delicious spread, accompanied by vibrant music, song and dance that had everyone on their feet. The effort everyone put into dressing in traditional attire was truly inspiring, adding rich colour and pride to the celebration.
The Best Dressed competition was a highlight of the day:
- First Place: Sbongile Mkhize from Finance / Executive Office
- Second Place: Asanda Tshapile from Internal Audit
Both walked away with well-deserved gift vouchers for their outstanding Heritage Day spirit!
A heartfelt thank you to the Social Committee for organising such a memorable event, and a special thank you to Samantha Bufé, Chair of the Social committee, whose dedication and attention to detail ensured everything from décor to music was perfectly executed.
Here’s to many more celebrations of our rich and diverse heritage!
